Parking citations are issued by two companies hired to oversee parking in the City of Annapolis. The jurisdiction of these companies are geographically determined.

Generally speaking, Glideparcs citations are issued in the downtown historic district area. Annapolis Parking citations are issued in all other areas in City limits.

Find my vendor. Look at the printout of the citation. If it says “Annapolis Parking,” use the button at left. If your citation says Glideparcs, use the button at right.

Please note: each vendor allows citation search by citation number or license plate number (follow links above).

Residential Permits

APPLY FOR A RESIDENTIAL PERMIT:

Residential Parking Permits allow Annapolis residents to park their vehicles on-street in one of the five (5) designated Special Parking Districts where they reside (See Map). The program is governed by the Annapolis City Code of Ordinances Chapter 12.32– Special Residential Parking Districts

To receive a residential parking permit, applicants must submit an up-to-date Maryland vehicle registration, per Maryland MVA rules. Residential parking permits are valid for one year (July 1 to June 30).

The purpose of the City’s Resident Parking regulation is to maximize parking availability for residents, while discouraging long-term parking on residential streets near or within commercial zones.

All permit holders must provide required residency documentation with each new annual permit.

Annual permits may be purchased online or in person.

  • For parking (844) 236-2011
  • For parking Districts 3, 4 & 5, the Annapolis Parking office is located at 60 West Street, Suite 106. The office is open Monday – Friday, 8AM – 4PM. Parking for Annapolis Parking is available in the Gott’s Court Garage.

Stickers are required to be placed on your vehicle and should be fixed to the rear-windshield on the driver’s side. Stickers will be mailed to those purchasing online and are available in the office for those who purchase their permit in person.

Historic Maryland Avenue

Location: Maryland Avenue (Maryland State House to United States Naval Academy

Relive history with a stroll along Maryland Avenue from the Maryland State House to the gate of the United States Naval Academy, a historic path that was often frequented by Thomas Jefferson. Sit on the steps of the Chase Lloyd House where Jefferson once sketched, or visit the local book store where Jefferson spent hours reading and studying. Also located on the three-block path are world-class custom jewelers, antique shops, galleries, and restaurants.
