Parking Tips for 2023 Legislative Session

The City of Annapolis welcomes visitors downtown for the 2023 Maryland General Assembly legislative session. As the rebuild of the Noah Hillman Garage continues, please visit www.accessannapolis.com for all of the city’s mobility options. For convenient downtown parking during the session, consider the following tips.

Park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium: The best parking option during the legislative session is Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (550 Taylor Avenue). The stadium lot is serviced by the State Shuttle route ($2 fare each way), with a regular schedule from 6:30 am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday. During the legislative period, an additional bus is added during the peak periods, from 7 am to 10:30 am, and 3:30 pm to 5:15 pm. Also, during the legislative session, extended shuttle service is provided on Mondays only until 10 pm.

Park at Any West Street Garage: Visitors can park at Park Place, Knighton Garage or Gott’s Court Garage along the West Street corridor and take the free Magenta Shuttle downtown. Parking can be reserved online ahead of time at Knighton Garage and Gott’s Court Garage by visiting www.annapolisparking.com, navigating to the garage of your choice, and selecting “Buy Daily Parking.”

Ride the free Magenta Shuttle: Park at any one of the garages in the West Street corridor and take the Free Magenta Shuttle into downtown (view map). The Free Shuttle will conveniently get you to and from your legislative session destination. Here’s an informational video. To track the Shuttle in real-time, download and install the TransLoc app available on the Google Play Store or Apple Store.

Invest in Monthly Parking: For guaranteed parking, visitors can purchase monthly parking passes for the Knighton Garage or Park Place Garage. Contact Annapolis Parking at annapolisparking@spplus.com or (443) 648-3087 for rates and details.

Park Free: Park free on weeknights and at Calvert Street Garage (aka State Garage) at 19 St. John’s Street Monday-Friday 6 pm to 6 am and on weekends.

Find all Transportation and Mobility Options: Visit Access Annapolis to explore an abundance of parking and transportation options as the City rebuilds the Hillman Garage with more parking spaces and exciting new features.
